The golf season has officially started. Courses across Western Canada have been allowed to open up with certain restrictions that have been put in force to ensure your safety. This is great news for the golf enthusiast.
NFP is once again proud to partner with the PGA of Alberta in providing their member golf courses with the 2020 Hole in One Insurance program. If you would like to obtain a quote for this, click here and we’ll help you get the HIO insurance in place for your event.
With COVID-19, golf courses have implemented various Pin safety techniques to limit contact with the flag and/or hole itself. Unfortunately, with Hole In One insurance programs, elevated flag/holes will NOT be permitted. However, you are still able to purchase insurance as long as the ball drops and stays in the hole after coming to a rest. There are no requirements for a specific depth of the hole.
Did you know that there are many golf cart accidents that result in personal injury, property damage and even death. Since golfing is intended to be a fun, relaxing and enjoyable outdoor activity, we encourage you to take care and follow the courses golf cart safety tips. These may include:
- Remaining seated while the cart is moving at all times
- Reduce your speed when turning, or going downhill
- Keep all body parts inside the golf cart when it is in motion
- Maintain an adequate distance between you and other carts
We hope that you are able to get out and enjoy a round of golf and enjoy the great outdoors. If you are in a tournament, good luck with the Hole In One competitions, and if you are using a power cart, drive safe!!
